Cookie Policy
Draft for review: 20 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Labonde Software Ltd, the company operating the Coachalyst product, uses cookies and similar technologies on coachalyst.com. It complements our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember information between pages or visits. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage) are covered by this policy too.
Essential cookies
For necessary functions we store the theme (coachalyst.theme), language (coachalyst.locale) and your versioned cookie choice (coachalyst.cookie-consent in localStorage and coachalyst_consent as a cookie for one year). This choice lets us apply your decision. Signed-in functions may also require session cookies.
Marketing attribution (optional)
Marketing attribution is optional and off initially. An older bundled agreement is not carried over. We do not use product analytics. Legacy PostHog identifiers in cookies and localStorage are removed when the page loads.
With marketing enabled, we store campaign parameters in coachalyst_utm (cookie, 90 days) and coachalyst.utm (localStorage), and referral codes in coachalyst.referral (localStorage). The first stored campaign remains until it is deleted. The server sets the coachalyst_ref referral cookie for the browser session after your marketing choice. Following a referral link alone does not set this cookie. Before a choice, URL parameters may be held temporarily in memory only. They are discarded on rejection.
Turning marketing off removes the local attribution. Removing the HttpOnly referral cookie requires a server connection. If this fails, we show the pending update and a retry option. We also retry when the connection returns.
Third-party cookies
We do not use product analytics.
The signup, waitlist and cancellation forms load Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent abuse. This connects to Cloudflare and processes technical connection and verification data. It is loaded independently of your optional marketing choice. See our privacy notice and Cloudflare for further information.
When redirected to hosted checkout, Paddle or Stripe may use their own cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention. The respective provider’s information applies there.
Managing cookies
Open “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time. Select marketing and save your choice, or choose “Essential only” to turn it off. Withdrawal takes effect going forward. The website remains usable. A pending server update is shown with a retry option.
You can also delete or block site data in your browser. Removing your choice prompts us to ask again on your next visit. Blocking site data may restrict necessary functions.
Do Not Track
With an active Do Not Track (DNT) signal, we enable no marketing attribution, even if previously selected.
Changes and contact
When our cookie practices change, we update this page and the "Last updated" date. For questions, email privacy@coachalyst.com.
